Mobility Plan 2011

We've researched. We've surveyed. We've redeveloped our route system for you! We hope you find:

- Faster, more frequent service on our busiest routes.
- Less travel and waiting time.
- Better connections to SPRINTER, COASTER and other buses.
- FLEX rides by reservation in Ramona and SW Carlsbad.

New Mini Guides

Changes effective Aug. 28

101

Route 101 will service University Town Center on weekdays for morning and afternoon peak periods only. At all other times, route 101 will end at the V. A. Medical Center.

303

Route 303 has increased Saturday and Sunday service frequency to every 20 minutes between 8 AM and 4 PM.

304

Route 304 will create a circulation loop in Encinitas, providing all day service on Santa Fe Dr. It will offer limited service on Encinitas Blvd. east of El Camino Real and on Rancho Santa Fe south of Olivenhain. 

404

Route 404 has been renamed to Route 304.

Route 306 will be extended past Fallbrook St. to Mission Rd.

Route 308 will no longer offer 30 minute peak service on weekdays Service. It will provide hourly service on weekdays.

Route 309 will change routes near the mall and won’t serve Jefferson, Vista Way, or El Camino Real.

315

Route 315 will be extended from Town Center North to College Blvd. SPRINTER station. The 30-minute service during weekday peak periods will be extended.
Also, selected peak-period trips will serve Old Grove Rd. and Frazee.

316

Route 316 will implement a new weekday loop route from Rancho Del Oro SPRINTER station, serving Ocean Ranch business park, Mesa Dr., El Camino High School, V. A. Medical Clinic, and El Corazon Senior Center.
It will operate every 30 minutes on weekdays only.

317

Route 317 will be discontinued. 
Routes 315 and 316 will provide alternative service.

319

Route 319 will be discontinued.

Revised Route 325 will connect College SPRINTER station to MiraCosta College.

321

Route 321 will be discontinued.

Portions of route 321in Carlsbad will be served by Routes 444, 445, and 446 and new Southwest Carlsbad FLEX service. Routes 304 and 347 will serve parts of eastern portion of Route 321. Please refer to these routes for more details.

2 AM westbound trips, 1 PM westbound, and 1 PM eastbound trip between Palomar College and Poinsettia COASTER station will be provided on Route 445. Morning and afternoon school trippers for High Tech High will be operated on Route 445.

323

The 323 is a new route.

The new weekday Route 323 will preserve service on Lake Blvd. and Skyhaven Ln. and will connect to Quarry Creek Shopping Center and Plaza Camino Real. Route 323 also provides new service on Emerald Dr. north of Vista way. It will operate every 60 minutes during peak periods and every two hours in midday.

325

Route 325 will end at College Blvd. SPRINTER Station. The new route will serve Tri-City Medical Center, MiraCosta College, and West Vista Way retail district. 

On weekdays, the 325 will operate every 30 minutes until evening. The route will realign in Carlsbad to use Carlsbad Village Drive between Monroe and the COASTER Station. Service on Tamarack will be retained with service every 60 minutes on weekdays and select trips on Saturdays. It will run over the full route every 60 minutes on Saturdays.

It will use College Blvd., Vista Way, and Thunder Dr. to lessen traffic impacts on Waring Rd. 

The new Route 323 will provide alternate weekday service on Lake Blvd and Skyhaven Ln. serving Quarry Creek shopping Center and Plaza Camino Real.

Route 331 will be discontinued.

University Dr. service will be offered on extended Route 332.

Route 332 will be extended from Sycamore/Shadowridge to Buena Creek SPRINTER station. The route will also serve the Vista Courthouse during business hours. It will offer service to Kaplan College and to Kaiser Permanente on selected trips.

This route has minor schedule adjustments.

This route is not changing

It has been upgraded to BREEZE Rapid service, with enhanced passenger facilities, Transit Signal Priority, and “next bus” information displays at selected stops.

Route 386 will be discontinued and replaced with FLEX Ramona service.

Operates every 2 hours and 15 minutes.

This route has minor schedule adjustments.

Route 444 will be restructured to provide faster, more direct service between Poinsettia COASTER station and Carlsbad employment centers.

Route 445 will be restructured to provide faster, more direct service between Poinsettia COASTER station and Carlsbad employment centers.

Some trips extended from Loker Avenue East to Palomar College Transit Center will replace route 321. School trippers for High Tech High will be operated on Route 445

446

Route 446 is a new route providing faster, more direct service between Poinsettia COASTER station and Carlsbad employment centers. The route serves Avenida Encinas Paseo del Norte and Armada Dr.

FLEX Southwest Carlsbad Service

Flex Southwest Carlsbad is a new demand-response service that will replace Route 321. It will operate from 6 AM to 6PM on weekdays.

Adult regular cash fare: $5.00
Senior/disabled/Medicare (S/D/M) cash fare: $2.50
Monthly passes accepted: any COASTER pass, including S/D/M monthly and youth monthly

FLEX Ramona Service
370/371/372

Flex Ramona service will replace Route 386 with a combination of scheduled peak-period trips and off-peak demand response service (reservations will be required). For reservations call: (855) 844-1454.

Route 370 Ramona local FLEX: On Tuesdays, local demand response service will be provided within designated local service zone between 6 AM and 6 PM.

371 Ramona FLEX Commuter:

Route 371 will have two AM scheduled fixed-route trips from Ramona to Escondido, with one AM return trip from Escondido to Ramona. It will offer two PM scheduled fixed-route trips from Escondido to Ramona, with one return trip from Ramona to Escondido. Westbound peak trips will deviate to serve San Pasqual Academy, but only with 30-minute advance reservation.

Fare structure for Routes 370 and 371 is as follows:
-   Adult regular cash fare: $5.00
-   S/D/M cash fare: $2.50
-  Monthly passes accepted: Any COASTER pass, including S/D/M monthly and youth monthly

 

Route 372 Ramona Flex Midday: In the midday, there will be one trip from Escondido to Ramona and one trip from Ramona to Escondido. 

Reservations are required for the midday trips, which will deviate within the designated service zone.
