Proof of purchase (ticket vending machine refund receipt, paper tickets, etc.) must be attached to the request. NCTD will review and provide a determination.

Please use the following form for Public Records Requests only

Any requests submitted after business hours (5:00 p.m., M-F) or on a weekend or holiday, will be received on the next business day.

Upon receipt of a public records request, a public agency has ten (10) days to notify the requester of the availability of any disclosable records and/or state any objections to the request; and to provide an estimated date on which the records will be made available.

As the North County Transit District is not a federal agency, the federal Freedom of Information Act does not apply.

Please be specific, including dates, names, locations and the nature of request if possible. Vague or general requests will only delay the process. Please be concise (limit 2,500 characters).

Schedule of NCTD Copying Fees

Copy Price per Page – Standard Letter Size (8 ½” x 11”): 10¢ per page

Copy Price per Page – Legal Size (8 ½” X 14”): 10¢ per page

Copy charges for oversized documents that must be outsourced for duplication/reproduction: Actual cost

Price for public records in electronic format, including DVD of public meetings, when requested in electronic format: Cost in accordance with Government Code § 6253.9, as it may be amended from time to time

Copy charge for duplication of DVD: $5.00 per DVD

Note: Payment is requested in advance of any pickup of requested records. Cash, check, or money order is acceptable. Make checks payable to North County Transit District or NCTD.

All fees are in compliance with the NCTD’s fee schedule as set out in Board Policy No. 16 – Public Records Requests and are subject to change.
