Commuting Options

iCommute

If public transit doesn't meet your commuting needs, because a stop or station is not close enough to your residence or because the schedule does not coordinate with your work schedule, there may be other options available to you through SANDAG's iCommute program*.

Commuter Assistance

iCommute assists commuters by providing free carpool and ride matching services, a subsidized vanpool program, transit solutions, the regional bicycle program, Guaranteed Ride Home service, SchoolPool carpooling programs for parents, and information about teleworking.

Guaranteed Ride Home

Whether it is working unscheduled overtime or responding to a family emergency, the Guaranteed Ride Home program (GRH) gives you the comfort of knowing a ride home is available in an emergency when the COASTER is not immediately available. GRH is available to COASTER commuters who purchase monthly passes and are enrolled in the program. Call 511 or visit icommutesd.com to enroll.

RideMatcher
This online ride-matching program connects you to people who live and work where you do, helping you find a carpool, vanpool, or biking partner.

TripTracker
The online TripTracker measures how your alternative commute saves you money and saves the planet at the same time. Record your commute trips on a daily or weekly basis and enter in to win monthly drawings.

Employer Services

iCommute also provides free assistance to local businesses, helping them develop and implement customized employee commuter benefit programs that lower costs, increase productivity, and help the environment. Find out more about employer services.
