Compass Card
Learn more...
The rollout of the Compass Card to the San Diego region has begun. The Compass Card is an innovative, plastic "smart card" designed to streamline and expedite fare collection for regional transit. Compass Cards soon will be accepted on all NCTD transit services. Cardholders will be able to link them to a debit or credit card to ensure automatic renewal of their transit passes. In the future, cardholders will be able to load cash value on the Compass Card. The embedded smart card technology allows riders to validate their trip and keep their cards current. It's simple - just tap your card flat on the target on a platform validator at Trolley or rail stations, or the farebox on buses. For updated information, visit compass.511sd.com.
