Welcome to the NCTD Real Estate Department. The following links allow
you to download various forms and applications you may need to transact
business with NCTD. NCTD maintains the railroad right-of-way (ROW) from
the Orange County Line to the Santa Fe Depot in San Diego, and from
Oceanside to Escondido. The ROW varies in width from 50 feet - 200 feet.
Safety is our first concern. Every person, public agency or private
entity, entering the ROW for any purpose, must obtain a right-of-entry
permit, proper training, insurance and flag protection, before work
commences. Individuals and private companies must complete a permit
application. Public agencies should include Relations with Railroads in
their bid documents.
